So why did we call ourselves Genius Jones?

A "genius jones" is someone who has the answers. (That would be us.) We spend lots of time finding intelligently designed products that answer the needs of modern parents and kids. That way, you don't have to waste time searching through hundreds of web sites and stores trying to find that perfect crib, high chair, car seat, stroller, diaper bag, video monitor, night light, play table, teepee, book, toy, CD, t-shirt, onesie, swimsuit or pair of jeans.

What products make the cut at Genius Jones?

We love design museums, but your house is not a museum. Some products may look great in photos or on pedestals, but the question is do they function in the real world? For us, it's not good enough for a product to look beautiful, it also has to work! That's why we carefully evaluate each product before we add it to our stores.

We only sell products that we truly believe represent the best design in their particular category. By only selling products that we believe in, we hope you’ll have more confidence in us. And unlike some online retailers who don't have actual stores, we have the added benefit of direct daily feedback from “live” customers who come back to tell us about their experiences with the products they purchase from us.

We're all about great design, not designer labels.

Some of our products are from companies you already know well. Others are from sources you've probably never heard of. Many of the products we choose were designed by architects and artists. We love products that have stood the test of time and earned the right to be called classic. But we also love products that offer high-tech solutions to age-old problems.
